Last night I had the opportunity to play violin with Geoff Koch and open for Gregory Alan Isakov. We played The Old Rock House in St. Louis (easily my favorite venue) to a packed crowd - even the balcony was packed! So thanks to everyone that came out to the show!
If you're not familiar with his work, its brilliant! Its atmospheric and folksy in just the right way. Here's a couple pics and a video of Gregory doing his thing. Enjoy!
Peace,
Ross

An Amazing Show!
I'm humbled to have been able to play in Jeremy Larson's band along with Stacy DuPree (Eisley) and Darren King (MuteMath). Saturday night we played the Gillioz Theater to a sold out audience (1,200), and you could feel the anticipation and excitement in the room. I could go on and on, but I'll let the pics do the storytelling for now...

Peace,
Ross
p.s. THANKS SO MUCH to all of the friend & family that made the 3 hour trek to come support the music/show/me!

Transient Permanence
Here's a new piece I composed last week. Its title again is contradictive - that's done on purpose. The song has several parts, each conjure different emotions, pictures, scenes, etc.
I've played this one for a handful of people and everyone commented a specific scene or scenario. That's the true magic of music - especially something created sans-words. Its completely up to the listener to decipher the locale, the situation, the players, etc.
So close your eyes and enjoy, Transient Permanence.
