BEST OF 2012 {MUSIC}

Happy twenty-thirteen!

I thought it'd be fun (and part obligatory) to start 2013 by looking back at the best of 2012.  Today we'll look at music...only with the restriction that I had to have purchased a physical copy of the album.  That being said, here's my list (in no particular order):

How Much Do Rock Stars Make?

I'm frequently asked if I'm working hard to get signed to a record label, if that's my ultimate goal in music.  They're really asking if I see a record label as a means to millions of dollars.  Trust me when I say that I've read so many record label horror stories, that it is not my ultimate goal.  Making a living playing music, writing music, leading music, recording and producing music are making that goal a reality.  So rather than direct you to numerous articles, books, etc., here's a very telling infographic of how much BIG record label artists make...

When Death Dies

Every now and then I see something so creative and awe inspiring that I have to share it here on the blog.  Well, yesterday I ran across this amazing unplugged version of "When Death Dies," by Gungor.  Please take a few minutes and watch this incredible performance.  I promise chills and a smile at the 1:34 mark...not to mention some jaw dropping soloing towards the end of the video!

Ross

Hey ya'll...its been a while, but I'm back and promise to be so daily! I saw this yesterday and thought it was interesting. I'm not 100% sold, but I get the gist. Enjoy!
